The Emerald Isle Dancers Association (EIDA) was incorporated as a Not-for-Profit Society in 1993 to promote and assist the dancers of the Mattierin School of Irish Dancing. The EIDA creates opportunities for Mattierin dancers to bring Irish culture to our community through participation in various shows, demonstrations and performances. The EIDA fundraises to provide financial assistance to Mattierin dancers who travel to local, regional, provincial, national and international competitions. The EIDA also promotes competitive Irish dance as an amateur sport by hosting the annual "Mattierin Feis-in-the-Park", a competition open to all Irish dancers in our region and all other regions registered under An Coimisún le Rincí Gaelacha. The EIDA organizes recreational and social activities for Mattierin dancers and their families to foster a spirit of togetherness and fellowship for Mattierin dancers and their families.
